Advocate, Create, and Deliver Career Development and Higher Education in Prison

We are committed to the belief that career education and training for incarcerated individuals is a worthy and imperative national initiative that compels us to offer and support programs that offer access to career development, training and higher education in prisons.

We advocate for this worthy cause on-and-off-campuses, seeking to bring together DRI with the broader stakeholder community around these issues

Our goal is to be a national catalyst for career and college prison programs enabling them to become accessible, doable, pervasive, and resourced sufficiently for incarcerated students to utilize them for successful reentry, by establishing a clear path toward a career, certificate or degree, despite the many constraints that currently create formidable barriers. DRI’s plan is to utilize collaborative advocacy among its prospective partners and stakeholders to make those pathways possible and desired outcomes achievable.
